The Crest Lancer girls and boys ended their three-game stay at the Tony Dubray Tournament in Liberal, Mo. on top with wins in the fifth and seventh-place games on Friday.

The Lancer girls demolished Northeast-Arma 61-36 and the boys beat Bronaugh (Mo.) 66-42.

Individual stats were unavailable for the Lady Lancers (6-6) in their win but junior Rylee Beckmon was named to the All-Tournament team after the Lady Lancers went 2-1 in tournament play.

Meanwhile, the Crest boys grabbed an early 13-7 lead after the first quarter of their win and proceeded to keep that lead, outscoring Bronaugh 41-25 in the second half.

Senior Hayden Hermreck led all scorers with 23 points followed by 15 by junior Zach Beckmon and 11 for senior Jacob Holloran. Sophomore Tyson Hermreck had six, sophomore Caleb Nolan had five, freshman Ethan Prasko had four and freshman Keaton Davis had two.

Holloran led the Lancers in steals with eight and assists with seven. Prasko had nine rebounds.

“I am pretty proud of this win, we showed a lot of guts and toughness,” head coach Travis Hermreck said. “Jacob flirted with a triple-double, Hayden started vomiting in the first quarter and played through it, a freshman led us in rebounding, and we played very well together.  We were nowhere near perfect but we were just really gritty.  I enjoyed this game very much and hopefully, we can get some momentum going.”

Up next, the Lancers will host Uniontown on Friday.
