Donna Kay Lind, age 81, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away May 18, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Donna was born April 17, 1945, in Moran, to Alden L. Dennis and Velma N. (Brooks) Dennis.
Donna attended school in Moran and graduated from Moran High School in 1963. She had a rewarding career in the grocery business and retired as a manager.
Donna loved her family and loved calling to visit as well as sending cards. She loved spending time with her daughter, granddaughter and family. She was a giver and never missed an opportunity to donate or help when people were in need. She loved good food and enjoyed eating out. She liked to shop and believed in buying good shoes. She loved poodles and owned several that she loved dearly. She was a life-long Kansas City Chiefs fan and one of the highlights of her life was fist-bumping Travis Kelce while they were both in line at a store.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Connie Wilson.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Sheila Bowers; granddaughter, Angela (Sam) Phimmachak; great-granddaughter, Kaleesi Phimmachak; sisters, Vicki (Leo) Werner, Terri Oliphant; brother, Rick (Debbie) Dennis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Kansas City, Missouri.
