Stephen Ray Moyer, 64, formerly of Iola, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Stormont Vail Healthcare in Topeka.
Steve was born April 13, 1952, in Iola, the son of William Edward and Doris Jean (Schuster) Moyer. He grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School in 1970. He has always made his home in Kansas, most recently in Topeka where he was a purchasing manager for Blue Dot.
Steve is survived by his eight children, Ryan Moyer and wife Chantal, Lawrence, Jennifer Hood and husband Jon, Chanute, Carla Barry and husband John, Olathe, Jodi Stark and husband James, Omaha, Neb., Derek Moyer and fiance Carly Durham, New Strawn, Brooklyn Moyer, Burlington, Ethan Moyer, Olpe, and Mathew Moyer, Lebo; three siblings, Ramona “Mo” Moyer, Iola, Bobby Moyer and wife Kim, Yates Center, and Brian Klepper, Kansas City; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Moyer and Clifford and Doris Klepper.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Iola. The family will host a celebration of life at 4 p.m. at Miller’s On Madison, 415 E.
