MORAN — Youngsters of all ages are exploring the nature of God this week, through the annual Moran Vacation Bible School.
The weeklong session culminates with a community church service Sunday at the Moran City Park.
The non-denominational celebration begins at 10:30 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to hear the youngsters share about what they learned throughout the week. Music will be a part of the celebration as well.
The service will end with a free lunch.
In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the American Legion Post at 237 N. Spruce St.
More than 60 youths ages 4-12 are partaking in the morning sessions at Moran’s United Methodist Church, with a gaggle of teens and adult volunteers to oversee the activities.
Lay Pastor Carson Wood and Pastor Tracy Smith lead daily storytime sessions to illustrate God’s plan of salvation from creation to the cross.
Many also bring daily offerings to benefit the Marmaton Food Distribution project and the Elsmore Ruritan.
