Charges requested
An incident in the 1000 block of North State Street April 11 led to Iola police officers requesting Steven Barnes be charged with suspected fleeing and eluding police officers, reckless driving, violating basic speed rule, driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without the required ignition interlock device. Charges are being requested through the Allen County attorney’s office.

Iola police officers arrested Connor House April 14 for suspected possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the 500 block of East Jackson Avenue.
Joshua Mann was arrested April 11 for suspicion of battery in the 500 block of North Second Street.
Officers arrested Tom Morris April 11 for suspicion of battery in the 300 block of South Jefferson Avenue.

Dallas Uitts was cited by police officers April 14 for suspected possession of drug paraphernalia in the 700 block of East Jackson Avenue.
Abuse case probed
Iola police officers took a report of possible child abuse Thursday in the 400 block of Eisenhower Drive. A suspect was identified.
Cash taken
Austin Bradley told police officers Wednesday somebody stole an undisclosed amount of cash from him in the 10 block of North Washington Avenue.
Tanks stolen
Max Grundy told police officers April 11 somebody stole propane tanks in the 300 block of North Cottonwood Street.
Crash reported
Iola police officers said Cassidy Weatherbie and Morgan Smalley were involved in a motor vehicle accident April 13 in the 1700 block of East Street.
