The Register is on the lookout for our area’s top athletes! Whether it’s on the court, field, course, track or otherwise, we want to honor the best our area has to offer.
Each month, we’ll pick three male and female athletes as nominees for our Allen County Area Athletes of the Month. Readers can vote for their choices right here on this page. The poll will go live at the end of the month and will remain up until Thursday at midnight.
We’ll announce the winners that Saturday in both our print and online editions. The Allen County Area Athletes of the Month also will receive a gift certificate from Rookies Sports Bar and Grill.
Now, most athletes will come from the high school ranks, but if you know a seven-year-old who’s the Babe Ruth of tee-ball or a 57-year-old who is pickleball’s Serena Williams, we will happily include them as well.
Know a superstar you think should be nominated? Email us at [email protected]. Be sure to include stats and reasons why they deserve to be honored. Include a picture if they’re not a high school athlete, and they very may end up a nominee!
Voting has closed for this month. Check back soon!
