BURLINGTON — Yates Center High’s golf team competed in Tuesday’s Burlington High Invitational
Dylan Bauman earned the ninth-place medal, shooting an 84 for the Wildcats. Nick Schemper tied for 24th after carding an 89 for the 18-hole event.
“I’m very pleased with the way these two guys played for their first tournament of the year,” said Kevin Barnes, YCHS golf coach. “Dylan was pretty consistent with mostly pars and bogeys while Nick had birdied two holes but some higher scores on other holes really held him back.”
Walter Spencer led Anderson County to the tournament title. Spencer was top medalist with a 69.
