YATES CENTER — Yates Center High’s softball team advances to the semifinals of the Class 2-1A softball regional tournament its hosting this week.
The Wildcats beat Altoona-Midway 11-0 Monday. There was no report to the Register on the game.
Yates Center (7-12) will play Elk Valley (9-11) at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Humboldt (7-11) plays West Elk (8-11) at 4:45 p.m.
The championship game is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Yates Center.
