UNIONTOWN — Marmaton Valley High’s golden girls came through with a league title Thursday.

The Wildcat girls track team featured four-time gold medalist Janae Granere and two-time winner Piper Barney en route to winning the Three-Rivers League team championship for the second year in a row.

Granere won the 200- and 400-meter dashes, the long jump and triple jump.

Meanwhile, Barney won the 300-meter hurdles  and the high jump, while finishing second in the triple jump and third in the long jump.

Tack on Pauline Thery’s gold in the 3200-meter run and some strong relay marks, and you have a dominating team score.

Marmaton Valley racked up 108 points, 18 points clear of runner-up Jayhawk-Linn.

Crest High also had a pair of individual league champions.

Mia Coleman took first in the 100-meter hurdles, while Ethan Godderz topped all comers in the boys triple jump, to go with a silver medal in the long jump.

Full results from Marmaton Valley, Crest and Yates Center athletes follow.

Thursday’s meet was hosted by Uniontown High School.
