OSWEGO — There was little in the form of drama on the ball diamonds for Yates Center High’s softball and baseball teams.
The softball Wildcats steamrolled host Oswego, 17-0 and 25-3, while the YC baseball nine emerged victorious, 15-1 and 16-8.
The Wildcats had several contributors in the softball wins.
Molly Proper blasted a home run to go with a single and triple, with two RBIs in the opener, while Hannah Jones ripped two singles and a double. Morgan Collins, meanwhile, tossed a no-hitter, and aided her own cause with two singles and two RBIs. Grace Westerman drove in two with a single and triple. Avery Eakin singled twice, Addie Solander had a single and three RBIs, and Callyn Miller had a single.
Proper took the ball in game two and surrendered three while striking out five. At the plate, she had a single, triple and inside-the-park home run with three RBIs.
Collins drove in three with a double. Solander drove in four with a single and triple.
Miller also sprinted out an inside-the-park home run to go with her four RBIs. Eakin singled twice, Westerman had a single, triple and three RBIs and Allie Chrisman had a single.

Yates Center’s softball team (9-1) and the baseball bunch (4-4) are back on Thursday at Uniontown.
