CHETOPA — Marmaton Valley High’s volleyball team split a pair of road matches Tuesday.
The Wildcats downed host Chetopa, 25-16, 25-10, before falling to Uniontown, 25-18, 26-14.
Kaitlin Ensminger led the Wildcats in the win over Chetopa with 13 points and four kills. Mackenzie Tynon followed with five points and nine kills.
Against Uniontown, Tynon had six kills. Emily Boyd pounded down four kills. Tapanga Turner had six points.
Marmaton Valley’s junior varsity prevailed in a pair of dominating victories.
The Wildcats thumped Chetopa’s JV, 25-7, 25-1, and rolled to a 25-9, 25-20 win over Uniontown.
Kenzie Harrison had 29 points for the Wildcat JV, followed by Tanna Lutz with 23 points and a kill, Shauna Knight with 13 points and four kills, Misty Storrer, eight points, 11 kills; Tessa Olson, seven points and 15 kills, Alex Thomas, six points and three kills, and Magie Stephenson, one point.
Marmaton Valley hits the road Tuesday to take on St. Paul, Altoona-Midway and Jayhawk-Linn in a quadrangular meet.
