Marmaton Valley ended its regular season on a strong note Thursday in Uniontown as the Wildcats scooped up sweeps versus Pleasanton and the host Eagles.
The Wildcats beat the Blu-Jays 25-19 and 25-23 and Uniontown 25-23 and 25-18.
Versus Pleasanton, Patricia Outlan led the way with 13 kills and six blocks. Bailey Griffith had five kills, five points, and two blocks and Karlie Stephens had eight points.
Aly Ard had four points, Julianna Sprague had three kills and Paige Becker had four points.
Versus Uniontown, Outlan had 14 kills and two blocks and Griffith had 15 kills, three blocks and five points.
Stephens had six points and Becker had five points.
These were two great wins leading into regionals, head coach Terra Kegler said. Im very proud of the girls for pulling together and playing with the intensity level they brought Thursday night. These wins were definitely a team effort.
Marmaton Valley will host the 1A regional tournament on Tuesday and will face six-seed Sedan in the first round. A win will put them against either two-seed Crest or seven-seed Altoona-Midway.
