The Marmaton Valley volleyball team ended its season at the 1A Sub-State tournament on Saturday in Rosalia.
After placing second in their home regional and qualifying for Sub-State the Tuesday before, the Wildcats, an eight-seed in the tournament, fell to then 38-1, one-seed Argonia in two sets 25-16 and 25-11.
Senior Patricia Outlan had 11 kills and four blocks in the match followed by four points and two blocks for Bailey Griffith. Aly Ard had seven points.
The Wildcats lose five seniors from this years team heading into next year led by Outlan but also including Sarah Spillman, Karlie Stephens, Paige Becker and Kari Shadden.
Marmaton Valley ends the year with a 16-20 overall record.
