The latest blast of nasty weather has prompted Marmaton Valley High to postpone its invitational golf tournament today.
The tournament at Iola’s Cedarbrook Golf Course will be rescheduled, Wildcat golf coach Mike McEwan said. In addition, Marmaton Valley’s home baseball games against Burlingame have been pushed back to Thursday.
Meanwhile, today’s junior varsity track meet at Chanute, which would have featured Iola’s athletes, has been called off, as has today’s JV baseball game at Prairie View. The baseball game will be played May 2. Iola will not compete in a rescheduled Chanute meet due to schedule conflicts.
