Here is the Allen Community College recap from over the weekend:

Women’s Soccer

The Lady Devils faced Kansas City Kansas Community College on Saturday. KCKCC is ranked 19th in the nation, and posed a challenge to the Lady Devils. The Lady Devils were down two goals heading into halftime, and matters didn’t improve from there. ACC conceded five more goals in the second half for a 7-0 defeat. The Lady Devils will be at home today against sixth-ranked Butler Community College.

Men’s Soccer

The men’s team took on KCKCC on Saturday. Allen was hoping to get back to its winning ways from earlier in the season, and played well in the first half to keep themselves in the match. Neither side was able to find the go-ahead goal early on, but in the 73rd minute, KCK took the lead with a perfectly executed set piece. The Red Devils were unable to find an equalizer in the final 17 minutes. ACC will be back in action on Thursday at Cowley Community College.

Volleyball

The ACC volleyball team competed against Southeast Nebraska and Labette Community College in Parsons. The Lady Devils controlled their match against Southeast, minus a third set hiccup, winning in four sets by scores of 25-15, 25-19, 16-25, 25-13. Against Labette, ACC cruised to a three-set sweep, winning sets 25-18, 25-17, and 25-8. The offense was led by Brittney Eskridge and Adriana Santiago with a combined 35 kills. The Lady Devils will be back on the hardwoods on Wednesday when they play at Hesston Community College.
