Both the boys and girls basketball teams from Southern Coffey County traveled to Marais des Cygnes Valley High School to compete in the schools tournament Monday evening.
The SCC girls defeated Marais des Cygnes Valley High School 49-18. Reed Szambecki scored 21 points, including eight points in the third quarter to power the Lady Titan offense. Also finishing in double figures was Kyra Ohl with 13 points.
For the boys, the Titans were without junior point guard Nathan Borntrager, and couldnt make up for their stars absence. The Titans lost their opening game to the hosts 51-20. Leading the SCC offense was Brayton Lind with seven points.
