BURLINGAME — The Titan junior varsity girls and boys teams played at the other end of the spectrum Tuesday night. The Southern Coffey County girls lost a very tight game while the boys fell victim to a lopsided score.
The Titan boys lost to Burlingame 62-38.
The Titans were led in scoring by junior Luke Gillis. Gillis finished with 18 points including a pair of three-point baskets. Sophomore Jett Harvey added seven points while freshman Cooper Harrad scored six.
Jonathan Borntreger had four, Derek Ratzlaff had two and Coy Dresch had one to round out the Titans’ scoring.
GIRLS
The junior varsity girls only played a two-quarter game due to a lack of players.
Burlingame was able to top Southern Coffey County 16-13.
Titan sophomore forward Haven Harvey led the team with six points while freshman Reed Szambecki had four points and Jordyn Stone added a three-point basket.
Titan coach Jeff True was impressed with freshman point guard Bryli Copeland in both the varsity and junior varsity games.
“I’m probably the most proud of Bryli tonight,” True said. “She has a lot of potential.”
