Three Rivers League honors prep standouts

Crest High’s basketball team capped a successful 2012-13 campaign with the Lancers’ second consecutive trip to the Class 1A, Division II state playoffs. The Lancers also brought in postseason honors. Crest seniors Kyle Hammond, Jordan Morton and Brock Ellis all received recognition by the Three Rivers League. Hammond was one of two unanimous selections to the first team (along with St. Paul’s Jake O’Brien). Morton also earned first team honors, while Brock Ellis received honorable mention.
Two Marmaton Valley Wildcats also earned TRL kudos. The Wildcats 5-9 senior Cole Becker was named to the second team on the boys’ side, while Marmaton Valley’s Kailey Boyd earned honorable mention for the girls.
