Three Rivers All-League teams announced

The Three Rivers League has announced its All-League selections, including players from Marmaton Valley, Yates Center and Crest.

Area schools Marmaton Valley, Yates Center, and Crest each had players recognized on the All-Three Rivers League teams for the winter basketball season. 

For MVHS, senior Bailey Griffith was the only Wildcat recipient of first-team honors. Griffith was stellar for the Wildcats the first three quarters of the season before being sidelined with a knee injury. 

Wildcat Junior Aly Ard earned a spot on the Three Rivers’ All-League second team, and Kaylee Becker received honorable mention recognition. 

Crest’s only girl to earn All-League honors was senior Rylee Beckmon. On the boys side, senior Zack Beckmon was awarded to the first-team, while juniors Tyson Hermreck and Kobey Miller received honorable mention honors. 

For Yates Center, senior Madelyn Collins was the only girl to finish with All-League honors, earning a spot on the Three Rivers’ first team. On the boys side, senior Reece Solander earned second team All-League honors, and sophomore Sean Hurst honorable mention.   

LYON COUNTY

The Lyon County League has also announced its All-League teams for the 2019-20 basketall season. Southern Coffey County senior Reed Szambecki, received honorale mention recognition, the only Lady Titan to be named. No boy Titans were named to the All-League team.
