Humboldt High juniors Noah Thornbrugh and Tanner McNutt paced the Cubs all through the 2011-2012 basketball season. Their efforts were recognized by Tri-Valley League coaches and with state honors last week.
Thornbrugh and McNutt garnered 2011-2012 Kansas Class 3A honorable mentions by the Topeka Capital-Journal and the Wichita Eagle. The two newspapers announced their All-Class state basketball teams Sunday.
McNutt and Thornbrugh also were named to the 2011-2012 Tri-Valley All-League boys’ basketball first team. The coaches made the selections and the honors were released last week.
Yates Center High’s sophomore Emily Baker earned All-TVL honorable mention from the girls’ coaches.
