NEODESHA — There was no room for a letdown in a closely contested Tri-Valley League game between Humboldt High’s Cubs and their hosts Monday night.
But the Cubs did have a letdown. They trailed Neodesha High’s Bluestreaks 23-22 at halftime then were outscored 10-2 in the third quarter.
The Cubs never caught back up, losing 46-42 in a makeup game.
No time to toil over the loss as Humboldt’s teams travel to Cherryvale in TVL play tonight.
Neodesha’s girls beat Humboldt’s Lady Cubs 55-17. No report was made to the Register on the game.
