HUMBOLDT — Two days of racing at Humboldt Speedway starts Friday night.
The Speedway hosts The Prelude to King of American Modified Nationals presented by the McCarthy Auto Group this weekend.
The two-day format involves qualifying the top 12 cars on Friday then doing it all again on Saturday for positions 13-20 in each event. There are three divisions racing this weekend — modifieds, pure stock and B-Mods/factory stock.
A drivers’ draw occurs each day for starting position in heat races. Spots will be determined by passing points.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Friday and races begin at 8. Saturday the gates open at 4:30 p.m. and races start at 7.
Admission prices are $8 for adults, $4 for kids on Friday and $15 for adults and $5 or kids on Saturday.
The USMTS King of America Modified Nationals come to Humboldt Speedway, Oct. 19-22.
