Special Olympics teams make their marks at Erie meet

ERIE — Athletes from the Iola and the Allen County Special Olympics teams were at a track meet May 6 at Erie High School.

Kobear Smith, first in javelin, third in long jump

Jacob Catron, fourth in long jump, fourth in 50 meters

Nick Stogsdill, third in javelin, fifth in softball throw

Enzy Mynat, fourth in javelin, fifth in softball throw, fourth in long jump

Aiden Fraker, second in softball throw, fourth in 100 meters

Keegon Herman, fourth in 50 meters, fourth in softball throw

Jaden Smith, first in softball throw, third in 100 meters

Gavin Doolittle, first in 25 meters, fourth in shot put

Kyle Schmidt, fifth in long jump, fifth in javelin

Heidi Hibbs, second in 50 meters, third in tennis ball throw

Kaden Priddy, second in 25 meters, third in tennis ball throw.

This year marked the first time in the history of the Iola program to run a 4×100-meter relay.
