CHANUTE — The Red Devil Express keeps on rolling as Allen Community College’s soccer teams approach the end of the season on a high note.
Allen’s squads swept past Neosho County on a pair of road matches Saturday.
The Red Devil women rode the hot foot of Lexi Godlove, who scored all four goals in a 4-1 win.
Four was the magic number for Allen’s men, who won their fourth in a row with Saturday’s 3-1 victory over the Panthers.
The victory wraps up the regular season for the ACC men (8-6 overall and 6-4 in Region VI play), who will open the Region VI playoffs Sunday against an opponent still to be determined. The Allen women (9-7 overall and 7-5 in Region VI) still must host NJCAA power Butler County Wednesday in their regular season finale before they head to the playoffs Saturday. The Neosho County win was the third straight for the ACC women.

GODLOVE was the woman of the hour against Neosho, even after the Panthers took a quick 1-0 lead.
She took a perfectly placed diagonal ball from Natalie Lelker to strike the ball past the Neosho goalkeeper from about 18 feet for the equalizer.
Kristen Tainatongo’s foot pass behind the NCCC sweeper led to Godlove’s second goal, giving Allen the lead for good.
Savvy Fairall and Reagan Vigola’s give-and-go through the heart of the Panther defense led Fairall’s backside pass to Godlove, whose goal made it 3-1.
Finally, Kyleigh Rowe split a pair of defenders with a flawless pass to the streaking Godlove, who made it past a final defender and blasted the ball into the net for her fourth goal.
Godlove’s memorable night matches Rowe’s four-goal performance in an 8-0 win over Cloud Sept. 17.
Keelie Arbuckle recorded six saves for the day as Allen’s goalkeeper.

ON THE MEN’S side, Brett Rex, Chibueze Nwagwu and Xzavier Torres all scored for Allen in its victory.
