Sigg to play in Shrine Bowl

Iola High senior Jerrik Sigg was officially invited to play in the 2012 Kansas Shrine Bowl  by Harold Bryan of the Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors (green jacket). Bryan and area members of the Mirza Shrine came to Iola High Monday morning for the presentation. On hand were Sigg’s parents Mitch and Peggy Sigg (front row) and (back row, left to right) Bill McAdam, Don Mohler, Jerry Skidmore, Iola High head football coach Rick Horton, Fred Apt, Iola High athletic director Martin Bambick and Gary Hoffmeier. The all-star football game is July 28 at Emporia State University and the players are selected by Kansas media voting on coaches’ nominations.
