The Allen Red Devils’ slide extended to eight games after falling to the Kansas City Kansas Community College Blue Devils 10-0 and 14-4 Friday.

Allen’s losses continue piling up as the Red Devils enter their final two series of the season with the Labette Cardinals (11-27, 8-16) coming to town Saturday after opening a four-game series in Labette Thursday.

Sophomore pitcher Manuel Toro took the loss in the opener with a pair of strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings on the mound. Freshman Keaton Hartman picked up a trio of strikeouts while coming on in relief. Although it was a shutout, freshman outfielder Marquee Williams, sophomore second baseman Nicky Moretto and sophomore catcher Meese Robberse picked up hits.

Williams, Robberse and Moretto went hitless in the finale, but sophomore third baseman Logan Martin, freshman designated hitter Jace Arnold and freshman first baseman Grayson Roberson each picked up an RBI while hitting in 2 of 4 at-bats. The Red Devils held their own in the opening frames, but a five-run fifth inning put them out of contention as the Blue Devils (28-18, 11-13) rolled from there for the 14-4 victory.

With the losses, Allen falls to 11-28 overall and 7-17 in the Jayhawk Conference. After Labette, the Red Devils wrap up the season with a four-game series against archrival Neosho (18-23, 7-17) with doubleheaders scheduled for April 30 at home and May 2 on the road.
