After wrapping up the 2024-2025 season in Overland Park at last weekend’s Region 6 Tournament, the Allen Community College Red Devil basketball teams received postseason recognitions.

For the men, Allen sophomore guard Tyler Pinder was named to the All-Jayhawk Conference first team.

Pinder of Tulsa, Okla., started all 29 games for Allen. He averaged 16.7 points per game while hitting 65 percent of his shots. He also was ranked second among the Red Devils in steals and third in rebounds.

The Red Devils have much to look forward to next season after Malachi Schireff, a freshman of Ada, Okla., received honors as a third-team selection. Schilreff finished the season second in average points per game with 14.9 while starting 24 of the 27 games he was available. He ranked first among Allen defenders in steals and second in rebounds.

As for the Allen women, sophomore forward Aaliyah Brown and sophomore guard Mafalda Chambel earned recognition with second-team selections.

Brown of Colony, Texas, was first among Allen players in scoring while averaging 10.3 points per game this season. Her 45 percent shooting from 3-point range also ranked first among her Allen teammates. Brown was the Red Devils’ top rebounder, averaging 8.5 per game.

Chambel of Turcifal, Portugal, served as the primary catalyst for Allen offense. While her 9.6 points per game was only third among the Red Devils, her four assists per game nearly doubled that of her teammates. She was also Allen’s top defender, averaging 2.4 steals per game.

Tawhirikura Doyle was Allen’s only freshman selection. Hailing from Wellington, New Zealand, Doyle made plenty of noise while competing in the nation’s heartland.

She averaged 10.2 points per game for second among the Red Devils. She was also second in average steals, rebounds and started 25 of the 26 games she was available.
