The Allen Red Devils hope to pick up their first Jayhawk Conference victory when they host the Coffeyville Ravens for a Thursday home double-header.
The Red Devils (4-11, 0-4) looked to gain a bit of momentum ahead of Thursday on the road in Sedalia, Missouri, against the State Fair Community College Roadrunners, but fell 15-9 after fizzling in the final innings.

Following an early barrage from the Roadrunners, Allen settled in scoring four runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth to take a 9-4 lead. With both teams treating Tuesday as an exhibition, replacing their pitchers nearly every inning, Allen came out on the losing end of the day as State Fair tied the game in the fifth, then took the lead in the seventh with a trio of runs. They sealed the victory with another trio of runs in the eighth inning.
Freshman center fielder Krue Lowe and freshman third baseman Grayson Roberson tied for the team lead in RBIs with two each while going two of four from the batter’s box.
Sophomore second baseman Logan Martin also had a strong outing while hitting two of four with an RBI.
On the mound, sophomore Manuel Toro had a pair of strikeouts. Freshman Ryan Golden, freshman Carter Germain, sophomore Taylor Palenske and freshman Cooper Bates each had a strikeout in their one inning of work.
