Allen’s soccer teams head into their road playoff schedule beginning with matches against Neosho County Community College and Southeast Community College.
The Allen men (7-4-4; 4-4 KJCCC) will be in Beatrice, Neb., on Thursday while the Lady Red Devils (8-4; 4-4 KJCCC) are in Chanute Wednesday.

The men are coming off three 1-1 ties in their last four regular season games, including those against Central Community College and Southeast Community College twice.
No other pair of players have been more impactful to the team this fall than sophomores Patrick Alouidor and Ayoup Bader. Alouidor has scored a team-high 13 goals while Bader has set up the most goals as the team’s leading passer with a team-high five assists.
“Ayoup (Bader) has been a great leader for us. He controls the game for us,” Allen head coach Doug Desmarteau said. “Patrick (Alouidor) is a special player and a pure goal scorer. He seems to create and find goals out of nothing. They will both be missed.”
Pedro De Silva has scored five goals while Bader has buried four goals. Diogo Cardel has gone for three goals while Musa Abdelgdir and Pascal Brose have each netted two goals.
Desmarteau said he has started to go with more of a two goalkeeper-look the last few games after starter Gaurav Sandhu was recently injured. Reserve Dickson Phoon has come on to pick up the minutes Sandhu can’t.
“Gaurav got banged up in a game so he hasn’t been 100%,” said Desmarteau. “So we have been playing him as long as he can go.”
In the 3-1 win over Pratt Community College, Alouidor scored a career-high three goals, while also going for two goals in wins over Johnson once and Hesston twice.
“We just need to finish our chances and not make mistakes that cause a goal,” said Desmarteau. “We play really disciplined defense. We now need to learn how to put games away.”
Allen’s most impressive wins this season were the 7-1 and 5-1 wins over Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Lake Superior College, respectively, to start the season and a 3-1 win over Pratt Community College on Sept. 30.
The key for the Red Devils this season has been finishing off their shots and finding the back of the net. Out of the 110 shots on goal, the Red Devils have completed 32 goals.
“If we finish 10% of the chances we create, we win most games,” Desmarteau said.
Allen kicks off at Southeast Community College on Thursday at 2 p.m.
