OVERLAND PARK — Allen County Community College’s Red Devil soccer teams lost a doubleheader to Johnson County Community College’s teams Tuesday.
The Red Devil women lost to third-ranked Johnson County 9-1. Crystal Jerome scored off a pass from Maurissa Shafer for ACCC.
Chelsea Reynolds made 25 saves in goal for the Red Devil women. The ACCC women are 3-9 in Jayhawk Conference and 4-12 overall.
Johnson County shut out the Red Devil men 2-0. Zack Hanks had 15 saves as goalkeeper.
Allen County’s men lost 3-1 to Northern Oklahoma College Sunday. Christian Rodriguez scored with an assist from Sam Travis. Hanks made 10 saves in goal.
The Red Devil men are 3-7-1 in conference play and 4-12-1 overall.
The ACCC teams wrap up the regular season at Hesston Thursday.
Region VI playoffs open Monday for women’s teams and men’s teams on Tuesday. The semifinals and finals are on Oct. 30-31.
