The Allen County men?s soccer team ended its season with a 1-1 double-overtime draw at Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa.
The draw put the Red Devil?s record at 3-11-3 overall. They were 1-9 in league play.
The game was also the last for Allen County?s 11 sophomores including Austin Cuevas, Brevin Allen, Noah Burkett, Alex Garza, Wilmer Canales, Dorian Soto-Molina, Joes Trejo, Andrew Salazar, Jacob Yochum and Dogan Bagde.
The Red Devils got shots at the goal throughout the first half but couldn?t get anything through despite a break by Canales that put him on a one-on-one situation with NOCT?s keeper. The keeper made a tremendous save and the teams headed into the half tied at zero.
The Red Devils had outshot Tonkawa 8-5.
In the second half, the Mavericks struck first, scoring on a counter attack in the 73rd minute.
Eight minutes later, it would be Canales again but this time he converted off an assist by Adrian Flores to tie things up.
The teams headed into overtime with the 1-1 tie and neither team could do anything to get a second goal through both overtimes, forcing the draw.
Gabriel Alves played in goal and made six saves and a goal.
The Red Devils will return 28 players for next season.
