Red Devil men fall to Butler

EL DORADO — A cold start and colder finish did in Allen Community College’s men Tuesday.
The Red Devils fell behind 10-3 to host Butler Community College before rallying to take a 23-21 lead late in the first half.
The game went back and forth until about four minutes into the second half when a pair of Grizzlies 3-pointers gave Butler a 10-point lead.
The margin beyond 20 points from there as Butler recorded a 90-67 victory.
The loss dropped Allen to 1-2 on the season, while Butler improved to 3-0.
Cameron Blue continued his torrid early-season play with 27 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Red Devils.
But Allen committed 23 turnovers, leading to 32 points for the Grizzlies.
Individual statistics for the Red Devils were unavailable.
Allen travels to Salina Friday and Saturday to play in the Brown Mackie Classic. The Red Devils take on K-State Salina at 5 p.m. Friday. They tip off at 3 p.m. Saturday against host Brown Mackie.
