Red Devil men and women split versus Metropolitan

The Allen County Lady Devil soccer team improved their record to 5-4 with their third win in a row on Monday when they beat Metropolitan Community College 3-2.
Destinee Smith opened up the scoring for the Lady Devils and Allen County held that 1-0 lead at the half.
Shelby Dawson scored for the Lady Devils and then Smith scored her second goal to push Allen County’s lead to 3-0.
Metropolitan Community College was able to get two goals in before time ran out but couldn’t get that final goal to tie it up.
The Red Devil men’s soccer lost 2-1 in an overtime game.
Metropolitan, Kansas City, Mo., scored first in the 13th minute to go up 1-0.
Allen County’s Roshod Nebmhard nailed an unassisted goal in the 89th minute to push the game to overtime with a minute to play.
Five minutes into overtime, Metropolitan got the go-ahead goal and the win.
The Red Devils slip to 2-5-2 after the loss.
The Allen County men and women will host Kansas City Kansas Community College at 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
