Ready for opening day

 A combination of high school students, their parents and community members joined forces on Saturday afternoon to give the Iola baseball and softball fields a new look.

The crew spent the afternoon installing windscreens  on the outfield fences. Steven Leonard organized the project and the windscreens were purchased thanks to area sponsors: ACE Refrigeration, Allen County Chiropractic, the Curry family, El Charro, Iola Insurance Associates, Iola Pharmacy, Johnson & Schowengerdt, Jump Start, PSI, Sigg Motors, Sigg Tire & Repair, State Farm, Tholen’s Heating & Cooling, and Iola Vision Source.
