COFFEYVILLE — While host Coffeyville Community College found some offensive rhythm after halftime Wednesday, the visiting Allen Community College women were stuck in neutral.
The host Red Ravens were able to extend a 23-19 halftime lead to as many as 26 in the second half of a 65-47 win. The loss drops Allen to 7-10 overall and 0-1 in Jayhawk Conference Eastern Division play.
The Red Devils shot a cold 30 percent (17 of 57) from the field, including 2 of 16 from 3-point range.
After shooting only 31 percent in the first half, Coffeyville hit at a 47 percent clip after intermission to pull away.
The Ravens led 65-39 before Allen ended the game on an 8-0 run.
O’ceonna Weston led Allen with 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals, followed by Jameesshia Armstrong and Rebecca Fisher with nine points apiece. Kylie Molisee had 10 rebounds. Fisher and Reagan McClellan both had three assists.
Jazmine Torian scored 17, while Devyn Edwards had 13 and Ashlin Arnold 11 for Coffeyville.
Allen returns home Saturday to host Cowley at 2 p.m.
