The National Wild Turkey Federation will host its annual banquet today at 5:30 p.m. at the Iola American Legion post.
The annual fundraiser features a host of prizes, including drawings for nine guns to be given away during the evening.
In addition are live and silent auctions through the evening.
“There are all sorts of amazing items available,” said Neil Crane, one of the event’s organizers.
The banquet benefits NWTF, which is dedicated to enhancing wild turkey populations and preserving wildlife habitat.
With its dedicated membership, and low overhead cost, organizers note that for every dollar raised by NWTF, 91 cents goes directly to the group’s mission.
