MVJH basketball holds home opener

MORAN — The Marmaton Valley Junior High basketball team hosted Pleasanton on Thursday night in its first home game of the early season.

The Wildcats’ A team lost 29-18. Ty Scharff led Marmaton Valley with six points. Bo Knavel and Alec Cochran each recorded four points.

All 18 of the Wildcats’ points came off of nine field goals. The team finished 0-of-5 from the free-throw line.

The Wildcats’ B team lost 24-10.

Wesley Lowder was Marmaton Valley’s leading scorer with five points, three of which came from the free-throw line. Deacon Perkins finished the night with four points.

 

The Wildcats’ next game is Tuesday at home.
