Marmaton Valley High School sent two athletes to compete in the Pre-State Challenge in Wichita at Cessna Stadium.
Bailey and Gage Griffith represented Marmaton Valley and each placed in their event.
Bailey competed in the elite girls division in the triple jump and took seventh with a jump of 3410 before taking first in the long jump in the 1A-3A division with a distance of 1611.
Gage competed in the 1A-3A triple jump and took second with a jump of 418.
Marmaton Valley will compete in two meets in Burlington this week. Waverly is hosting its meet at Burlington High School on today and Southern Coffey County will host its meet on Thursday.
