Marmaton Valley Junior High and Crest Middle School resumed their hardcourt rivalry on Monday. Crest won most of the games, save for a Marmaton Valley shutout for the boys B team.
COLONY — Points were hard to come by for Marmaton Valley Junior High’s girls Monday.
The Wildcats came out on the short end of a 17-6 decision in A team action to Crest.
The B team, meanwhile, lost 3-0 in two quarters.
In the A team matchup, Marmaton Valley’s Braelyn Sutton scored four points and Addisyn Drake two. Crest was paced by Kaelin Nilges, who scored eight. Kinley Edgerton added five. Peyton Schmidt and Allison Weatherman scored two each.
Crest’s Summer Valentine had the only field goal in the B team game. Jaycee Schmidt added a free throw.
IN BOYS play, Crest rolled to a 42-14 win in the A team game, while the Marmaton Valley B team pitched a 16-0 shutout over two quarters.
Levi Prasko was a monster for Crest in the A team affair, pouring in 20 points, followed by Drake Weir with 10. Kole Walter added five, Xander Fuller four, Wyatt Dickerson two and Lane Yocham one.
Marmaton Valley’s Tyler Lord scored eight points, Brevyn Campbell and Wyatt Bollinger each scored two. Todd Stevenson And Jarrad Jamison had one point each.
In the B team game, Jamison scored six points for MV, while Bollinger chipped in with four. Tucker Sutton added three, Dagan Barney two and Ethan Lawson one.
