MORAN — Marmaton Valley High’s girls have made it two-for-two on the young basketball season.

The Wildcats have suited up twice so far, and both times had things in control from the start.

On Tuesday, Marmaton Valley led 12-3 after one quarter against visiting Northeast-Arma and 33-5 at halftime.

The second half was more of the same as Marmaton Valley cruised to a  49-9 victory in the first round of the Marmaton Valley Preseason Tournament.

Several Wildcat players saw extensive playing time.

Janae Granere and Payton Scharff led the way with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
