Iola High’s Fillies lost a couple of heartbreakers to Pittsburg in SEK softball action. They led 4-1 and lost 6-4 in the opener then dropped a 2-1 decision.

Pittsburg matched it with a run in its half of the inning.

The Mustangs gained the lead for good in the fifth. Jarred Latta singled and moved up on an error then Ashmore singled. Heffern served up a sacrifice to score the run.

In the sixth, Braden Larson drew a one-out walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch. With two gone, Devon Conner drove in what would be the winning run on a base hit.
