Mustang wrestlers place at Caney

CANEY — Iola High senior Brent Clark finished seventh in the 138-pound weight class at Saturday’s 2011 KAN-OKLA Classic at Caney Valley High School.
Clark and three other Iola wrestlers were left out of the Register’s report on Monday. Complete results were finally available to the Register late Monday morning.
The other three — Christjan Ruby, Zeph Larney and Justin Baker — wrestled as unattached competitors for Iola. As did Chase Roettgen.
The Mustangs did have three wrestlers claiming third-place medals in their respective weight classes. They were Devin Culler at 160 pounds, Zack Vaughn at 170 pounds and Trey Colborn at 285 pounds.
