COFFEYVILLE — Iola High’s junior varsity golf team finished fourth at Tuesday’s Coffeyville Field Kindley High’s junior varsity tournament.
The Mustangs finished at 219, led by Nick Jacobs who shot a 50 to tie for seventh-place medalist. Coffeyville won the meet with a 186 as Keaton Blauch took top medalist honors at 43.
Iola’s Rocky Smith finished with a 52 for the nine-holes. Hayden Wolf shot a 58 and Lee Berg carded a 59.
Also for the Mustangs, Dean Headley was at 62 and John Hutton was at 65.
There were eight teams competing in the event. Independence was second with 194 and Pittsburg was third at 206.
Iola plays in a junior varsity tournament May 3 at Independence then on May 19 it plays at Chanute.
