More games called off

More cancellations and postponements were handed down because of the weekend snowstorm that blanketed Allen County and much of eastern Kansas.
Iola High’s junior varsity baseball and softball games Monday against Anderson County were called off, as were today’s varsity contests.
Today’s track meet at Altoona-Midway, featuring athletes from Marmaton Valley, Crest and Southern Coffey County, has been called off. A makeup date has not been announced.
Marmaton Valley High’s baseball and softball teams saw their season-openers today at Jayhawk-Linn called off because of snow, as were Humboldt High’s planned home-openers in baseball and softball against Neodesha.
Allen Community College’s baseball team pushed back a doubleheader at Coffeyville one week until next Monday, although today’s doubleheader with the Red Ravens remains on schedule.
The Red Devil softball team called off home doubleheaders Monday against Ottawa University’s junior varsity and today against Johnson County. Makeup dates have not been decided.
