Iola volleyball senior Piper Moore was named First Team All-Pioneer League last week after a stellar final season of high school volleyball.
Moore, a four-year starter, had been named All-League Second Team her freshman, sophomore and junior years but this year the outside hitter did enough to bump up to the elite of the Pioneer League.
The honor comes after accumulating 172 kills this year with a .174 hitting percentage and a 31 percent kill rate.
Moore also racked up 142 assists and 160 digs amounting to an average of 2.3 digs per set.
Moore was also proficient from the serving line, serving at a rate of 83 percent with a 23 percent ace rate. She had 117 serve receptions this year with only seven serving errors.
The senior now has a decision ahead of her as she decides whether to head straight into pre-med at KU or to go to a smaller four-year school to continue her volleyball career.
