Humboldt middle school boys and girls traveled to Caney Valley on Thursday and while the B-Team girls walked away with a win, the other three teams came away with losses.
The B-Team girls won 16-4.
Melina Hess had five points and five steals and Assya Goforth and Morgan Hunter each had four points.
Meanwhile, the A-Team girls lost 22-16. The Lady Cubs had a strong first half but managed to score only three points in the final three quarters.
Carsyn Haviland had five points and Karley Wools had four steals.
The boys B-Team lost 34-13.
Sam Hull had nine points and Kaden Barnhart and Garren Goodner each had two. Hull also led the way with eight rebounds and three steals.
The A-Team boys lost 47-36.
A 23-point second quarter kept what was otherwise a very balanced game.
Trey Sommer had 13 points followed by eight for Aiden Gean, five for Maddox Johnson, three for Brennen Nuessen, two each for William Kobold, Sam Hull and Trayce Slocum and one for Dakota Slocum.
Sommer led the way with eight rebounds and D. Slocum had five. Gean had three steals and Johnson had two blocks.
The Cubs will travel to Eureka on Monday at 6 p.m.
