HUMBOLDT After the rain that plagued Southeast Kansas over the past week, Rodney Sanders brought a little sunshine to Humboldt Speedway as the Happy, Texas driver took the McCarthy Auto Group A-Modified feature.
Sanders, starting outside the pole, inherited the lead after Mayettas Darron Fuqua lost power on lap five. Sanders outpaced the field on his way to the $1,000 victory. Heat race wins went to Matt Johnson, Tyler Davis and Darron Fuqua.
In Rays Metal Depot B-Mod action, Fort Scott driver Andy Bryant took the nights victory and the mid-season championship.
Bryant, starting inside the second row, took advantage from the start on his way to the win. Chanutes Tyler Kidwell charged from the sixth row to the runner-up position and Levi McGowen rounded out the top three.
Heat race wins went to Kenton Allen, Brian McGowen and Andy Bryant.
Home Savings Factory Stocks saw Dereck Wilson complete the double, as he picked both the A-Feature win and the mid-season points championship.
Wilson outdueled Wayne Johnson and Scott Collins for the win. Ethan Vance and Krew Walburn rounded out the top five.
Heat Race wins went to Logan Boone and Jacob Ellison.
In the Tumbleweed Music Festival Street Stocks, Collinsville, Oklahomas Dalton Garrison shook off last weeks misfortune and picked up the win and the mid-season points championship.
Garrison, starting outside the pole, passed Shane Cook and outlasted Devin Irvin for the victory. Cook, by virtue of his heat race win, started on the pole. Nick Fritch and Hunter Oswald completed the top five.
Loves Travel Stop Midwest Mod action saw Rob Muillenburg from Sparta, Missouri pick up the win.
In doing so, he also secured the mid-season points championship. Muillenburg had to hold off Trevor Vann who ran second. Vann also finished second in the the mid-season standings. Heat race wins went to Mason Sigg and Rob Muillenburg.
In the nights final feature, the OReilly Auto Parts Sports Compacts, Brandon Vink won in dramatic fashion and a late race incident took out the leaders.
Vink completed the final four laps without injury on his way to the win and leapfrogged into the mid-season points championship.
Robert Moore and Rick Andres rounded out the top three.
