McIntosh grandson earns football combine invite

Ian McIntosh, grandson of Iola’s Gary and Barbara McIntosh, has been invited to the Blue-Grey National Super Combine June 23 in Canton, Ohio.

McIntosh will be a senior running back for Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Mo. He is the son of former Iola High standout running back Matt McIntosh, who is third on the career rushing list for IHS.

Ian McIntosh, 5-9, 175 pounds, was selected based on his running back performance at a Blue-Grey regional combine in St. Joseph, Mo. this spring.

He will compete with 200  prospects from 36 states for a spot in the Blue-Grey National All-Star game, Jan. 12, 2013 in Tampa, FL. McIntosh led the Suburban South conference with 1,368 yards with 16 touchdowns during the 2011 season.
