ERIE — Marmaton Valley High and Yates Center High golfers competed in a junior varsity tournament hosted by Erie High School Tuesday.
Marmaton Valley finished third as a team with a 203.
Jayhawk-Linn won the tournament with a 191, followed by Caney Valley with a 194.
Lane Hamm was the third-place medalist for the Wildcats, carding a 47 for the nine-hole event. Mike Swift shot a 49 for 11th placed and Joey Jefferis was 15th with a 51. Tristan Dickerson shot a 58 for 32nd.
Yates Center’s Richie Mentzer shot a career best 60. Mason Hartwig finished with a 65.
