MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s volleyball team had trouble finding the right track Monday.
“We never could get anything going,” Wildcat head coach Brenda Mills said as the Wildcats’ A, B and C teams fell at home to visiting Uniontown.
The A team fell, 25-15 and 25-15.
“Nothing was clicking,” Mills said.
Taylen Blevins and Andie Carr each had three points for MV. Addisyn Drake followed with two, while Jae Beachner, Emma Michael and Layla Cook all had one point.
Marmaton Valley’s B team made things interesting, rallying to win the second set, but dropped a hard-fought third set.
“It came down to the final point,” Mills said. ‘We just came up a little short.”
The Wildcats fell 25-18, 16-25 and 15-13.
Evva Sander racked up 13 points to lead MV, followed by Alayna Cook with six, Myleigh Eslick with five, Harlie Cook with three, Mahala Burris with two and Adisyn Pritchard with one.

Uniontown’s C team had things will in control from the outset, rolling to a 25-7 win.
Reagan Marshall, Yareli Medrano and Kaylee Burris each had a point.
Marmaton Valley returns to action Thursday at Pleasanton. The B team will compete Saturday in a tournament in Iola.
